After some tips from Ole (http://www.internationalmoth.de.vu/) and Burkhard (who told me my high-tech broomstick was too heavy) I started to build a carbon tiller extension yesterday. Other options would be buying carbon tube (boooring), using aluminum, or bamboe, or even pvc drain-pipe (which was on when I bought the boat). This is way more fun.

Kuehlungsborn moth training

Last big trip of the year was to Keuhlungsborn, (check out the photo’s). It was fantastic to sea with my Moth on the sea for the first time, the wind was offshore, so the waves weren’t too big, but that it was interesting enough anyway. Read the report here.

Vortex sailing

We had some fun last week at Vorwarts Gronau, big winds outside, St. Niklausfeir, kaffee und Kuchen inside. Great sailing, although it was a bit hard, with the wind going from nearly nothing to 18 knots-ish within 25 metres.
